For those Pokemon trainers who are hoping to get benefits from Mysterious Gifts through QR codes, Nintendo has some bad news for you. It looks like the seventh generation pokemon game will be region-locked!
According to the official Japanese website, the upcoming Magearna giveaway will soon be distributed through a QR code that is only scannable by Japanese copies of Pokemon: Sun & Moon.
Well this is not really an issue at first, as we know that North American and European trainers will also receive the Artificial pokemon the same way but some trainers will definitely feel excluded when Mystery Gift QR codes going live are unusable due to where they live.
