Elder Scrolls Online Will Soon Have More Dungeons and Character Customisation

The next big update for the long-time MMORPG, Elder Scrolls Online will be the Shadow of the Hist. This update will have two new dungeons for players who purchased the DLC. Aside from that, players will have the power to beautify their character even more with the upcoming update.

Speaking about these dungeons, there will be two in particular: Cradle of Shadows and Ruins of Mazzatun. These dungeons will feature Argonian theme ready to challenge groups of four players in either Normal or Veteran modes. In addition to defeating the challenges in the dungeon, player will also be rewarded with a new monster masks.

Also, the base game patch will feature new ways for players to customize their character. These include the ability to change a character's name, race and appearance. Nitty-gritty details about this feature is pretty scarce at the moment but there has been rumours that players will need to purchase a token that will give them the option to alter their character's appearance, their name or even their race. We also don't know of the tokens will require in-game gold or real world money.

One thing that we are certain though is that players need Crowns to access over a dozen new customisation options, as new hairstyles and adornments will be added to the Crown Store when this update hits the game. As we all know, the Crown Store updates each month with new offerings, but we do hope that these new hairstyles, adornments and body markings will be around for a long period of time.

And finally, the last customisation that the update will bring is the ability to dye your character’s costumes. This customisation will include new motifs, new item sets and other improvements noted by the developers themselves.

The base game patch coming to ESO will also make several changes trials across all platforms. Hel Ra Citadel, Aetherian Archive, and Dragonstar Arena will all be scaled for max level with new rewards. Hel Ra Citadel and the Aetherian Archive will even feature Normal and Veteran modes. Another major change coming to the game with the Shadows of the Hist DLC releases is a new way to chat on consoles. Players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will notice the introduction of text chat in addition to the existing voice chat.

The forthcoming DLC is not the only thing about to change the way players enjoy The Elder Scrolls Online. As announced at this year’s E3 event, battle leveling is coming to the entire world of Tamriel. Coined as “One Tamriel,” an update at a later date will introduce battle leveling to the entire base game instead of only being available in a few pieces of DLC. This change will make the entire world appropriate for leveling at any time. Not to mention, the One Tamriel update will remove the PvE restrictions on factions letting any player group with another regardless of faction or level.
