A redditor named BananaMuffinFrenzy has discovered that the files for the game's recent 1.3 update contain references to fan-favorite Pokémon Scizor, Empoleon, and Darkrai. However, none of them are in the game. Which is why we believe that these Pokemon might be release in the future content.
The files "evt_sphit_Scizor," "btlseq_en.drp\evt_212_shot_link_hit," "btlseq_en.drp\evt_212_zangeki_shk0_3," and "btlseq_en.drp\evt_212_zangeki_shk1_1" refer to Scizor, whose Pokédex number is 212.
On the other hand, the file "btlseq_en.drp\evt_395_iwakudaki_hit" refers to Empoleon, which has a Pokédex number is 395, and "iwakudaki" is the Japanese name for the move Rock Smash (which Empoleon can learn).
And finally, the files that refer to Darkrai are "btlseq_en.drp\evt_491_darkhole_throw_catch," "btlseq_en.drp\evt_491_darkpulse_hit," "btlseq_en.drp\evt_491_darkpulse_hold_hit," and "btlseq_en.drp\evt_491_exATK_hit." Darkrai's Pokédex number is 491, "darkhole" is the Japanese name for Darkrai's signature move Dark Void, and Dark Pulse is another move that the Pokémon can learn.
Since these Pokemon are not in Pokken Tournament, it is safe to say by now that they'll be added sometime in the future. And the fact that these file names refer to various move names, makes us conclude that these Pokemon will be the next new playable characters in the game.
