Mac users will totally agree with me when I say that finding unread emails in your Mac OS X mail is really frustrating. It will definitely drove you crazy sometimes finding those unread emails. However, don't worry as there is a workaround on finding those unread emails easily. In fact in this page, I will teach you a way to just show unread emails in your Mac OS X mail. Now that a hassle-free solution don't you think?!
Now the method I will show you simply relies on the smart inbox functionality of your Mac OS X mail. The things you need to do are simply:
1. Open the Mac OS X mail.
2. Navigate through the "Mailbox" menu and click "New Smart Inbox"
3. Then Just give your new smart mailbox a name and then set the following parameters:
- Contains messages that match "all" of the following conditions
- Message is unread
And then click "OK".
4. Once setup, go back the main screen of your mailbox and check out the left sidebar for your "Smart Mailboxes" and then choose your newly created smart inbox. And that's it!
Once you've selected your new smart inbox which has the "unread mails only" parameter, it will just show those unread messages only which are highlighted by a blue dot.
Bonus Tip: If you want to display only unread emails for a specific email account, you'd need to add another parameter to specify that inbox.
