Reddit user ftb_hodor claimed that he had caught all 142 Pokemon available in North America. In order to finish his collection, he was able to catch 4,269 Pokemon, hatched 303 eggs and walked 153 kilometers over the course of his two-week journey. His final catch was Omanyte, which he evolved into Omastar.
The New York City-based trainer, whose level 31, said that he worked more than 50 hours a week amid all that Pokémon-catching. A popular hotspot of four adjacent PokéStops directly across from Central Park helped him achieve his goal without traveling too far from home, although he did take a trip to New Jersey along the way.
Check out a screenshot of his Pokedex below.
As you can see, there are still nine Pokemon missing in the list. The Pokedex may indicate that ftb_hodor has seen and caught 142 Pokemon in the area but, nine of them are still missing. These includes Mr. Mime, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewto, Mew, Ditto, Farfeth’d and Kagaskhan.
Now many believed that three of them are region-locked: Farfetch’d will only be exclusive in Asia, Kangaskhan in Australia/Oceanic region and Mr. Mime in Western Europe. If this rumor is to be believed, then I guess trainers who truly want to catch ‘em all will have to pack their bags and go for a trip around the world. But that’s too Farfetch’d don’t you think?
