Elder Scrolls Online will be having a Gold Edition which will be release on September 9, 2016 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. What’s this Gold Edition you ask?
The Elder Scrolls Online Gold Edition is a re-release of the fantasy MMO which has the main game and, the four DLC expansions in one pack. The bundled DLC expansions included in the Gold Edition are Imperial City expansion (which added new collectibles, PvP dungeons and more), Thieves Guild (which allowed players to join a mob full of thieves), Dark Brotherhood (which introduced the group of skilled Assassins) and Orisinium (the expansion which added over 20 hours of story content).
The Elder Scrolls Gold Edition will also be packed with some goodies like the Palomino horse mount and 500 crowns to spend at the in-game Crown Store, provided that they are new sign-ups for ESO.
The Gold Edition package will cost $60 and will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One from September 9 (though pre-orders are available now).
What is currently unclear is whether there will be an easy path to upgrade for existing Elder Scrolls Online players who would like to save money on buying expansions by purchasing the Gold Edition. It’s also unclear whether or not Bethesda will offer some sort of temporary discount on expansions to offset the pricing and any complaints from existing players that they are being treated unfairly.
Unfortunately, while there are still questions to be asked about the Gold Edition package, it does mean that fall 2016 is a good time for players who have yet to play an Elder Scrolls game to jump into the franchise.
