Tier 1: The Mighty MS1 – good gun, good armor, good speed – stand out tier 1 tank
Tier 2: BT2 – combination of speed, agility and a decent gun make it the best of its class and pipping the pzKpfw35(t) by a narrow margin to win
Tier 3: The M2 Medium – really hard class with some excellent little tanks and arguably the best SPG in the game the SU26, for all around versatility the M2 has them all beat mostly courtesy of its monster gun and decent armor and speed.
Tier 4: PzKpfw III – all around the most versatile tank in the tier, both the leopard and a20 deserve mention as excellent scouts, but their tendency to get stuck in much higher tier games reduces their overall rating a bit. Tier 4 also sees the much maligned Hetzer – which really deserves credit as a very solidly armored tier 4 carrying the biggest gun in it’s tier and more than capable of hitting well above its class
Tier 5: M7 – The hardest class of all to rate a “best in tier” but the m7 with it’s mix of speed and a rapid firing, effective gun takes the tier very very narrowly from the PzKpfw IV which is probably the best all rounder in the tier, but is a workhorse tank and not a real standout performer. The KV gets an honourable mention as the first of the Heavies and can be a real pain with the right gun, but it’s poor speed and armour prevent it from being the winner on the day
Tier 6: KV3 – The first true heavy tank worth playing, the kv3 narrowly edges out the excellent t34-85 and Easy 8 Sherman to win this tier, give the easy 8 a 90mm gun and it’d be a very different story
Tier 7 : T29 – nothing in class can match the Yank super tank with the 105mm railgun o doom – The T29 is a class above and holds it own even when comparing tier 8 tanks. Notable mention goes to the VK3002DB as being far and above the best German medium tank in the game.
Tier 8: King Tiger – close call against the IS3 and T44, but the KT is the more versatile tank and when used right is a much better and consistent performer than the other 2, but not by much.
Tier 9 : T54 – The uber-tank from the early 1960’s beating up on 1940’s competition – nuff said
Tier 10: IS7 – really no competition for this monster when played well
