World of Warcraft: Legion patch 7.1.5 is now live and players are discovering something new with the game. One newly discovered thing is that Frost Death Knight's hidden appearance drops in Icecrown Citadel. And the other one is a sure way to get the Bonestorm pet in the Icecrown Citadel (P.S. I don't know if the second one is still new as I learned it just now :P)
Redditor Zubberikan made an interesting discovery! The hidden appearance for Frost Death Knights Runes of the Darkening now drops in Icecrown Citadel.
We do not know if this is intended, a bug or an undocumented change of Patch 7.1.5. The appearance does not seem to drop from a specific boss. The drop we see in the picture below (Credits go to Zubberikan) dropped from Deathbringer Saurfang. Redditor InvidiaSuperbia confirmed the drop from The Lich King (25 Heroic).
For Kerexgg Deathbringer Saurfang also dropped the appearance.
Now let's talk about the sure way to get the Bonestorm pet.
Steps to getting Frost Death Knights Runes of the Darkening:
1. Clear raid up to the boss you want to farm on 25N with character A. Hearth to city and log off
2. Log into character B and create a LFG, log off
3. Log onto character A, sign up for group made by character B, log off
4. Log onto character B, and accept request, log off.
5.Log onto character A, accept invite, log off.
6. Log onto character B, and head to the raid.
7. Before you enter make sure you're set to 25N, walk in and accept raid lockout.
8. After you accept the first lockout, change to Heroic mode.
9. Profit. Disband group. Log off.
10. Log onto character C, repeat steps from 2, create a new group.
A note. A lot of steps could be skipped with auto invite, however, I've had issues with randoms joining the group and getting disbanded. Also this trick does not work in Dragon Soul, for some reason Thrall will not start the madness encounter w/o clearing the whole zone on Heroic. But you can't save the Heroic lockout. Hope this helps.
