Destiny TTK: Is it Just Me or Sunbreaker's Hammer of Sol Detonating Too Early After the Update?

We're led to believe that with the nerf to explosion radius of the Hammer of Sol, came with an unexpected nerf to the grenade and horseshoe proximity to the Hammer of Sol.

Before, the hammer would blow up automatically when it's near to kill the opponent. Right now, it seems it still works in the pre-nerf proximity radius, but the explosion itself doesn't actually make up for how large the detonation is (even with Forgemaster).

So unless the opponent is actually running into the hammer, it has a higher chance of not killing them. If they're running away, or near it, then it'll blow up early, and leave them at around 10-20% health left. This is purely anecdotal, so take this with a grain of salt, but we feel like this is how it currently works.

The video below shows you the striker titan should've died from the hammer hitting him, but it blew up too early before it made contact, and left him with little health.

Another video (which you can see below), with more than two hammers that seem to connect against a warlock.

We do hope that Bungie revert the explosion radius, as it wasn't complained at all (or very little). And not go for the obvious:
"Lol, we'll just remove the proximity."
