Monster Hunter Stories is coming to the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo announced on its Nintendo Direct livestream today.
The game is a turn-based RPG where players can tame monsters for battle, flying, swimming, and using them to access new areas. Monster Hunter Stories will let players take the role of a Rider instead of a Hunter, unlike past games, and form a party of multiple monsters that can be used during battle. Monsters can also be collected and hatched from eggs.
According to the game’s box art, released by Nintendo’s Twitter account, the game will have amiibo support. The Capcom-published game originally launched in Japan last October along with two sets of amiibos based on characters from the game. It has not been announced if the figurines will be released outside of Japan.
Monster Hunter Stories will be launching for the Nintendo 3DS sometime this fall.
