For Honor Season 2: Shinobi, Centurion, and Epic Gear Confirmed

Ubisoft's finally confirmed the new classes coming to For Honor, the Shinobi and the Centurion. Both of the new classes should be available on May 16, for Season Pass owners first, and May 23 for all other players. The new classes will be added into existing factions, the Samurai and Knights respectively.

In addition to the two new classes, For Honor's Season Two will feature two new maps, Forge and Temple Garden, as well as a new level of gear rarity and customization items. Following a three week off-season, Season Two of the Faction War as well as all the new additions will be available on May 16.

Unfortunately, neither of the two maps were shown in the teaser trailer above. Forge will be centered around the Centurion, while Temple Garden will center on the Shinobi.

Interestingly, following the Revenge gear balance changes, Ubisoft is implementing a higher level cap on Gear Score as well as introducing Epic rarity gear. No information was provided on the level cap increase, nor what the new gear stats are.

Shinobi (Samurai Assassin)

The Shinobi class will wield a Kusarigama, the traditional chain-and-sickle, though Ubisoft has not detailed the class's range or abilities. We may see the Shinobi play at a range similar to the Conqueror with wide, arcing swings, and with a possible grappling ability.

The Shinobi are silent warriors able to move with a dancer’s grace and kill with precision thanks to a lifetime of disciplined training. They wield the traditional Japanese Kusarigama.

Centurion (Knight Hybrid)

A gladius was shown in the hand of the leaked images of the Roman Centurion, with no shield in the other. Ubisoft has made the Centurion a close-quarter combat, single-sword wielder, who seems to focus mainly on strong attacks. From the description below, the Centurion will be able to cut through his enemies' guards.

The Centurion sees the battlefield like a chessboard. Equipped with the reliable standard issue gladius, Centurions can bypass enemy defenses through strategic close-quarters combat.

The Centurion and Ninja were no secret, as both were shown on For Honor's Season Pass image as silhouettes.

Only weeks after release, the two characters were leaked through a development version of For Honor. These may be early design images, so both the Centurion and Shinobi may receive aesthetic changes on release.

For Honor's Season Two of the Faction War begins on May 16, and will include the Shinobi, Centurion, two new maps, new Epic level rarity gear, as well as more customization options.
