Witcher 3 is considered to be among the best RPG’s ever released. Created by a modest studio in Poland called CD Projekt Red (now valued at over $1 billion on the Polish stock exchange), the title shocked the world with what many purists viewed as a digital masterpiece. It’s only fair for fans to want another game set in the same universe.
There’s good news if you’re one of those people who are eager to play another Witcher game, since CD Projekt Red has confirmed there is definitely going to be another game set within the Witcher universe.
The CEO of the company Adam Kicinski recently dropped this juicy little tidbit on Polish TV station TVN24 BiS.
“It’s too early to talk about it, but it’s not like we’re forgetting about this brand, It wouldn’t be fair towards the fans. We work within this universe for over a dozen years now and I don’t think it’s going to be the end of it.
Although Witcher 3 saw the end of our scarred hero Geralt’s story, it’s certainly not the end of the road for the franchise itself.
However, do not expect another Witcher game to be releasing anytime soon. CD Projekt just finished releasing the last of The Witcher 3’s DLC, Blood and Wine, and most of its team has since moved on to making another open world sci-fi game called Cybyerpunk 2077.
That game will be releasing before another Witcher game and it’s safe to assume we won’t be seeing any extensive information being shared about the upcoming Witcher project until at least late 2018.
