So you want a challenge? Let me guess you want to start out your Skyrim: Special Edition in Legendary difficulty and, I'm guessing also that you're here to find some helpful tips on how to kill every single enemies you face without typing that "TGM" command for God mode.
Well, let me tell you right now. There is no way you can do Legendary mode in the very beginning of Skyrim without getting bored. Before you head out to Bleak Falls Barrow or where do you want to go right after you escape the wrath of Alduin in Helgen, you'll need to do tons of boring stuff like crafting or killing animals over and over again just to get that level you want before you can start your adventure in Skyrim in Legendary difficulty.
So to make it short, you need to cheat! Yes you need that cheat console my friend if you really want to do legendary difficulty without destroying the fun of this game. No, I'm not talking about God mode all the time, I'm talking about getting some extra cash and help before heading out.
So how do you exactly do that?
SO right after Riverwood, head to Whiterun and go to Bannered Mare. Talk to Uthgerd the Unbroken and challenge her to a fist fight. You need 100 gold to challenge her and of course, God Mode. Just once, input that "tgm" command on your console to beat this gal.
Right after you beat her, you earned 100 gold and you can now have her as your follower.
So why the heck did I need her you ask? My friend, in Legendary difficulty, a follower will be your best asset. Think of them as the one who will tank all those damage and a personal mobile storage.
Why not just sneak? Sneaking is really overrated. When you are at low level and want to try out legendary difficulty, then taking it low and slow won't do you any good. You can't kill the enemy even with the the bonus damage(s) that sneak gives you. Remember this:
Difficulty | Player Damage Dealt | Player Damage Taken |
Novice | 2x | 0.5x |
Apprentice | 1.5x | 0.75x |
Adept | 1x | 1x |
Expert | 0.75x | 1.5x |
Master | 0.5x | 2x |
Legendary | 0.25x | 3x |
