Fans of The Legend of Zelda (that’s everyone, right?) can rejoice! The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time manga is making a comeback. Viz Media announced the manga will be getting a shiny new relaunch in the form of a Legendary Edition this November.
The beginning of the original Zelda manga was published in Japan in 1998, and localized for the English market in 2008 by Viz Media in 10 volumes. The new launch will republish all of the 10 Zelda volumes into 5 books as part of the Legendary Edition. The first book in the series will collect the two volumes that comprise the complete Ocarina of Time story line into one beautifully bound tome.

The rest of the four forthcoming Legendary Edition books will contain the following novels, all originally published from 1998 to 2008:
- Majora’s Mask
- Oracle of Seasons
- Oracle of Ages
- Four Swords
- The Minish Cap
- A Link to the Past
- Phantom Hourglass

The Legend of Zelda manga series was written and drawn by an incognito duo of women, who work under the pen name Akira Himekawa. The women are only known as A. Honda and S. Nagano. This year, they also debuted a manga for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Or course, with the much-anticipated Breath of the Wild game hitting shelves soon, we can only hope the duo will be working on a graphic novelization of the new title to complete their collection of stories.
Maybe if we pray to the powers that be over at Viz and Nintendo, we may get to see the rest of the Akira Himekawa’s works collected as well!
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Legendary Edition will be released November 1, 2016 for $17.99. It is currently available for pre-order at Amazon.
