Destiny Tip: Saving Trials Marks Bounties Can Give You Tons of New Exotics this December

Grab and save the Trials marks bounties to buy a bunch of the new exotics!

When the December update comes out a bunch of old favorites are going to be joining us in Year 2. Deej said in the last weekly update that if you have access to the Year 1 version you'll be able to buy the Year 2 versions from the blueprints.

Obviously a big limitation for this is the 200 mark limit. Buying Y2 weapons from blueprints costs 150 marks while buying armor from blueprints costs 125 marks. So if you're like me and you definitely want Y2 MIDA and Y2 Armamentarium as soon as possible you're theoretically out of luck. This is where the Trials bounties come in.

There are 5 different Trials bounties that award 25 marks each when you pop them:

Complete 5 Trials of Osiris matches or win 1 Trials match.

Win 2 consecutive rounds in the Trials of Osiris.

Defeat 10 opposing Guardians in the Trials of Osiris.

Defeat 5 opposing Guardians while both your teammates are alive.

Win 3 individual rounds in the Trials of Osiris.

These don't all come up every week, but chances are that all five of them will definitely come up between now and the December update and they're also all extremely easy to complete. You can only hold one of each bounty at a time, but across three characters if you had all 5 on each that's an extra 375 marks you could have ready to go instantly - for an easy 575 marks ready to spend the minute the update goes live.

Doing this you could buy Y2 MIDA and Y2 Arma (275 marks total) and still have 300 marks left to play with. That's another 2 exotic weapons, or another two armors, or another weapon plus another armor. Start hoarding!
